Over 36 different facilities are available to the public for general or specific use. From recreation to view points to the Ocean View Cemetery, dedicated staff work hard to provide quality facilities for you to use and enjoy. City Parks account for 28 of these facilities.
It is our goal to provide and maintain safe recreational facilities and programs for our community and visitors. These parks are for your benefit and enjoyment and include picnic areas, playgound, baseball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts, beach access, hiking trails and walking paths.

SHANE PARK PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT
FUNDRAISING for SHANE PARK PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT
The size of the new playground will be approximately 111 feet x 57 feet and feature several slides, climbing areas, swings, and safety surface area. The total cost for the new playground is $130,000. While the City has set aside $60,000 in the 2011 budget for this project, the remainder still needs to be raised before equipment is purchased.

EDIZ HOOK BOAT LAUNCH DAILY FEES & YEARLY PASSES Daily fees to launch a boat at the Ediz Hook Boat Launch are $10.00 and yearly passes are available for $40.00. Daily fees can be deposited in the drop box at the boat launch area.
Yearly passes are effective for one year from the date of purchase and may be purchased at the City of Port Angeles Recreation office in the Vern Burton Memorial Community Center.

Note:Both vehicle and boat trailer license plate numbers are required when applying for the yearly license.
A paper receipt will be issued for immediate use and the laminated permit will be mailed to you within approximately 10 days. After launching your vehicle, please place the receipt or permit on the dashboard of your vehicle.

Facilities for Rent
The City has a number of facilities available to individuals or groups to accommodate meetings, parties, conventions or other public gatherings. Facilities are available on first come first served basis, however, there are some limits on how far in advance you can make reservations.

Vern Burton Memorial Community Center
8,100 square foot hall, preparation kitchen, and 1134 square foot meeting room dividable (movable walls) into three smaller rooms. Complete information and fee schedule....
Senior Services Community Center
2121 square foot multi-purpose room, dining room (will seat 186), kitchen, four (669,507,507,498 square foot) meeting rooms, and billiards room. Complete information and a fee schedule.......
City Council Chambers
1650 square foot auditorium with theater type seating for 70. Multi-media projection equipment, microphones and podiums are available. Complete information and fee schedule.....
Lincoln Park
Located in the 1900 block of West Lauridsen Boulevard, just 2 miles from City Center. Conveniently located near the William Fairchild Airport, Clallam County Fairgrounds, BMX Track, and Little League Fields. Civic Field

Street Spanning Advertising Banner
Non-profit agencies and groups wishing to advertise upcoming events can arrange to rent or provide their own banner for display on either First or Front Streets. Cost is $127.00 per week for use of a City owned banner and $100.00 per week if you own a private banner.
