PARKS & RECREATION 2011 MASTER PLAN
The Parks and Recreation Master Plan will provide a road map for providing high quality Parks and Recreation facilities for residents and visitors to the City of Port Angeles. This plan includes a detailed inventory of existing parks, recreation facilities and recreational programs currently owned and/or operated by the City of Port Angeles.

The community and staff involvement in the production of this document has provided a wide variety of opinions as to the best possible path for the parks and recreation future for the next five years.

The resulting recommendations lay out the framework to a quality park and recreation system that emphasizes the personal, community, economic and environmental benefits of parks and recreation. Recognizing that this path will not be straight or short, the plan provides tools to guide decision making and project implementation over the next five years and beyond.

This plan has also taken into consideration the limited funds the City of Port Angeles has available to invest in the Parks and Recreation Divisions. A pragmatic and realistic list of recommendations has been included for consideration.
