PORT ANGELES PLANNING COMMISSION - NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Proposed amendments are intended to be minor in nature and are part of an annual review meant to clarify confusing or conflicting land use regulations. Amendments include the addition of definitions lacking in the Code (Section 17.08 Definitions), clarification of side setbacks abutting streets (Sections 17.11, 17.12, 17.14, 17.15 Residential zones), consolidation and clarification of wording requiring the removal of prohibited and/or nonconforming signs (Section 14.36 Signs), clarification and a definition for clarification of parking lot activities (Section 14.40 Parking), correction of the standard to provide “garden” space to be “open” space found in Section 17.45 (Infill Overlay Zone). Minor zoning map amendments are proposed as well to correct obvious errors. The public hearing will begin at 6 p.m., City Hall, 321 East Fifth Street, Port Angeles, Washington . Application information may be reviewed at the City Department of Community & Economic Development, City Hall, P.O. Box 1150, Port Angeles. City Hall is accessible to persons with disabilities. NOTICE OF FILING OF PRELIMINARY BUDGET AND NOTICE OF BUDGET HEARINGS A public hearing on proposed revenue sources for 2010, including the property tax levy, will be conducted by the City Council on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at 7:00 p.m., or soon thereafter, at City Hall, 321 East Fifth Street. A public hearing will be held on proposed revenue sources and the proposed budget on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 7:00 p.m., or soon thereafter. A second public hearing on the proposed budget will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2009, also at 7:00 p.m., or soon thereafter. City Hall is accessible for persons with disabilities.
